Popular Blazers for Spring

Casual and light – blazers aren’t just for work.

For a blog about wardrobe essentials, I’d be remiss if I didn’t dedicate at least one post to the Blazer. A capsule wardrobe just doesn’t feel complete without a blazer. The reason for this is simple.

Blazers go with everything and come in all textures, weights and thicknesses. So whether it’s winter, spring, summer, or fall you can always find a blazer to suit the season.

My personal collection of blazers is pretty streamlined and season-specific. I tend towards having one of each in a classic cut, style or color.

There’s basic black, taupe, and cream. And for cool weather I reach for a wool blend in a classic herringbone or plaid. And always I have at least one camel hair blazer (vintage of course!)

For Spring I like to lighten things up by reaching for a taupe or creamy hue. Pastels are also an obvious choice for this season and there are tons of mouth watering options.

While I favor quality over quantity, I rarely spend a fortune on blazers.

In fact more than half the blazers I own are second hand or from budget friendly stores. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen the above featured vintage Oleg Cassini blazer. This blazer is pure elegance especially when I updated it by removing the outsized shoulder pads.

As we turn the corner towards having more in person interaction, blazers are the go-to simple way to elevate your current casual look.

Whether you love vintage store finds or favor shopping online you can’t go wrong with these popular spring styles.

I love this blazer! The color and fit are perfect. I like how you styled it as well. I need to incorporate more blazers into my wardrobe.

Some of the best blazers are thrifted. I highly recommend thrifting as a way to experiment and find your perfect fit. Once you find what speaks to you then you can invest in that forever piece.
