Zara Cap Toe Shoes

I’m not going to start this post by quipping, “In case you’ve been living under a rock, the Cap toe shoe is the hottest trend for Fall 016. For starters I think it’s plain mean and Yes, most of us are extremely busy with work and family. For all intents and purposes DO live under a rock.

Instead, I’ll say, ” You may have noticed that cap toe shoes in all variations are making a reappearance”. In fact, Cap toe shoes are the hottest shoe trend for late summer and show no signs of letting up in the fall.

Although not the inventor, credit goes to Coco Chanel for popularizing the cap toe shoe in 1957.

Touted as a style of shoe which elongated the leg whilst shortening the foot probably is what guaranteed the cap toe shoe its place in history.

While I would love to invest Chanel, I’m content with a more affordable version from Zara.

These cap toe shoes are a steal at $39, thus making it into my Fall 5-piece French Wardrobe. These are a hidden gem, therefore  I recommend you scoop them up before they are gone! [shop here]

I love the versatility of this trend. In addition to the fact it makes my clunky size 9s look like dainty size 7s. Go “lady-like” with a dress. Conversely, pair it with street-style jackets and ripped jeans for edge.

The key factor: This ain’t your grandma’s cap toe shoe. I mean, it really IS, but infinitely better!
