If one stop shopping and sweater weather had a baby, it would be this Cashmere knit dress from Grana.
In my mind, and probably yours too, Cashmere has always been considered a luxury item. So it’s great when you can find a high quality cashmere that doesn’t bust your budget. Cashmere also makes the perfect holiday gift, whether it’s gloves, scarfs, or a cozy sweater. Or in my case a sweater dress!
Just in time for the holidays, Grana rolled out this cashmere knit dress along with classic v-neck and crew neck styles. Cuts span the gamut of “boyfriend” to cropped. Colors range from classic neutrals to trend-setting pops of color. The price point is right too. Ranging from about $45 (gloves/scarves) to $150 (dresses and joggers). Most other cashmere STARTS at $100 plus.
Compared to other cashmere (read my Everlane $100 cashmere review) the quality of the Grana product is definitely on par with its nearest competitor. I have been L I V I N G in this dress and it’s shown no signs of pilling. The knap of Grana cashmere sweaters when compared to Everlane is “flatter” and of a slightly tighter weave. Whereas the knit dress is a bit more relaxed and fluffy
About the Fit
Like Everlane, Grana sizing can vary a great deal depending on the item. Size DOWN if you’re thinking of the knit dress and consider sizing up or taking your true size in the sweater/pullover. (I’m pictured wearing the Size Small) The jogger is the perfect piece but I recommend sizing up if you have “runners” or “juicy” thighs, as these fit slim.
As you probably know, I’ve done a handful of collaborations with Grana, but this was my first time experiencing their Mongolian Cashmere collection. I must say, I’ve received tons of compliments on this dress. I’ve worn it alone with socks boots (pictured) and over skinny jeans, because layering is what sweater weather is all about!
