Jeans to Work Day

Happy Friday! Yep, Friday, that one day of the week we all wear jeans to work.

Well, some of us that is. When I worked in the “field” I could wear jeans just about every day. I thought, “What’s the big deal, anyway? ” to my friends and family who were so excited about ‘Aloha’  Fridays. That was until I switched to a more corporate setting where casual Fridays occur only on the FIRST Friday of the month.

As my jean collection started to collect dust, I realized how much I missed wearing  jeans to work. Every. Single. Day.

Now I look forward to “that day of the month” and carefully plan what jean I’ll  wear with what top. Such as in today’s post. This is my take on the jeans and white tee for the office. I chose a leg lengthening flare from Target (yes Tar-jay) and the Smocked Pima Cotton Blouse by H&M premium collection.

Why did I chose to buy jeans from this “big box” brand. Well, after I learned a well kept secret from the girls at  They All Hate Us,

That secret? Fabric from high end jeans are often sourced from and assembled at the same factories as  budget jeans. *gasp*

So far I’m very happy with the fit of these jeans and the retro look of the front pocket seams. Also the high waist accentuates the hips and addresses any and all muffin issues!

Sadly the H&M blouse is sold out but I’ve linked another premium option  here (click)
